#HangoutSession: A Lunch Date with Izzy Ice | @iamizzyice
Izzy Ice is an emcee who hails from Brooklyn and is known for his work with the group Da King & I, which consisted of him and DJ Majesty. Together, they have launched 3 singles off their debut album, Contemporary Jeep Music, on Dallas Austin’s Rowdy Records in ’93. The duo has disbanded since then, but with his knowledge of business alone, Izzy has stepped away from the music industry and ventured into the business world, considering the privacy that comes with it that he fully enjoys.
After a surviving a life-threatening issue last year, Izzy decided it’s time come back to the music scene with his new single, “Milk & Cookies” which is out now on digital music sites everywhere.
I sat down with the soft-spoken emcee over some banging lunch at the world famous Junior’s Restaurant in Downtown Brooklyn as we spoke about hip hop, his near tragic ordeal and of course, Milk & Cookies on this episode of #HangoutSession.
